Greystanes Gala Dinner
The annual Greystanes Gala Dinner was replaced with a Ball to mark the 60th year anniversary of Greystanes Disability Services. It was held at the Fairmont Resort, Leura on Saturday 18 August 2018. Greystanes were pleased to have their patron His Excellency, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d) Governor of NSW and Mrs Jane Hurley attend along with the Member for Macquarie Mrs Susan Templeman MP. It was a lovely evening filled with Greystanes supporters from the Blue Mountains and beyond.
We thank the community for their support and are happy to announce that we raised over $40,000 which will go directly to fund modifications to an accessible vehicle that is needed to fit the large customized wheelchairs used by the people Greystanes supports.

Greystanes Golf Day
The 2019 Greystanes Golf Day was held on Friday 12 April 2019 at the Blackheath Golf and Community Club. It was a beautiful day in Blackheath with perfect golfing weather. Congratulations to the winning team, “Hi Dr Nick”. Not only did they have the lowest net score but they also won along with the Golf Burglars the best dressed team.

We raised over $7,000 net which will go towards an accessible garden and barbecue for our newly renovated home in Katoomba. We have nearly completed the home, which is for three people that we have supported in our day program for many years.The house has been specially designed, ensuring that the transition from their family home to their own home is as seamless as possible. The outdoor area will be a place where then can invite their friends and family over for barbecues.

Greystanes Accessible Garden
Greystanes Disability Services accessible bathrooms are available by appointment for members of the public who require changing facilities. Please contact 0439 990 249.
Greystanes Disability Services are proud supporters of the Leura Gardens Festival and one of the recipient’s of their donations. The 2019 donation went towards the landscaping and solar panels of our new property at Leichhardt Street, Katoomba.
The 2018 donation went towards the modification of an accessible vehicle for our mobile nursing unit team to take the people Greystanes support to medical appointments. Vans are cumbersome and do not fit in many medical specialist centres and undercover hospital car parks.

Greystanes Trivia Night
‘It’s justice. Its law. It’s the vibe’
Thank you to everyone who supported the Greystanes Trivia Night on Friday the 8 November 2019, held at Blackheath Golf and Country Club. We raised just over $5,500 which will be used to help purchase solar panels and battery for our new group home in Woodford.
