Greystanes Disability Services (GDS) is an independent, not-for-profit NDIS provider based in the Blue Mountains and Penrith, committed to human rights and person-centred active support.

 

Greystanes Disability Services is a true community organisation, it has supported and advocated for people with disability in the Blue Mountains for over 65 years. We honour this legacy and are committed to upholding the rights of people with disability.

Who are Greystanes

About Us 

Greystanes Disability Services (GDS) is an independent not-for-profit organisation, established in Leura, NSW in 1958 as Greystanes Children’s Hospital. We receive funding from providing services to NDIS and private participants. We also seek funding from philanthropic bodies, businesses and individuals to support enhancements to our current services, additional resources and innovative initiatives.
Greystanes Disability Services is a charitable institution limited by guarantee and registered under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Greystanes Disability Services holds a charitable fundraising authority under Section 16 of the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991.

Community Participation (Day programs)

GDS offers an individualised Day Program for people with all types of disabilities. GDS offers centre-based and community participation activities. 2 Grose Street Leura is a fully accessible building set in beautiful grounds close to the railway station and bus stops.

Home and Living

We support people with disability 24/7 in Home and Living (Supported Independent Living) throughout the Blue Mountains and Penrith. We specialise in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and complex health.

Core Supports: Personal Care, Domestic Assistance, Community Participation, Health Appointments, Holiday Support.

Home support Services

GDS Home Support Services are available in the Blue Mountains. Available to you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

On Wednesday 14 January Greystanes Disability Services will be holding their Annual General Meeting for 2024 - 2025 at 2 Grose Street Leura or via MS Teams. If you are interested in attending or becoming a Member please contact the Company Secretary on info@greystanes.org.au.

27 MarCH 2026 - GOLF FUNDRAISING DAY

On Friday 27 March at the Blackheath Golf Club a fundraising golf day will be held to raise much needed funds for building works at our Leura Community Centre. If you are interested in sponsoring or would like to book a team to play please contact info@greystanes.org.au.
