Living in the Community
Greystanes Community Living provides supported living services to people with disability who have significant support needs.
Our Community Living Service assists people with disability who may require significant support in their lives to participate and engage, to communicate, to exercise choice and control and decision-making, and for daily living and good health. Our services operate in strong partnership with the person and their family or guardian, on the basis of a person centred plan and through a Person Centred Active Support framework.
Our community homes are located in ordinary neighbourhoods where people are supported to participate in their local community, to develop relationships and to exercise choice in their daily lives.
Currently, our group home services are located in the Blue Mountains and Nepean areas. Four or five people share each home and support is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff includes Support Workers, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
